Reaffirming our commitment to responsible business

Systemiq has successfully achieved B Corp recertification, reaffirming our commitment to using business as a force for good.

B Corp certification recognises companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. For Systemiq, recertification is more than a milestone. It is a reminder that our mission must shape both the work we do with partners and clients, and the way we operate as a business.

What B Corp certification means

B Corp certification is one of the leading global standards for responsible business. It assesses a company’s impact across governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The certification looks at the whole organisation, not a single product, project or initiative. It also requires companies to consider the interests of a broad set of stakeholders, including employees, communities, suppliers and the environment.

This aligns closely with Systemiq’s purpose: to accelerate the transition to a net zero, nature-positive and more inclusive economy. B Corp certification helps hold us accountable to that purpose.

The certification is not permanent. Companies must recertify every three years and show that they continue to meet the standard. The process is rigorous, with companies assessed against a detailed set of criteria and their scores published through the B Lab Directory. This transparency helps raise the bar for responsible business.

Our recertification reflects the collective effort across Systemiq to embed impact into our day-to-day work. It is also a prompt to keep improving. B Corp standards are expected to become more demanding in the coming years, and we welcome that direction.

Walking the talk through Project Zero

Our B Corp journey is closely linked to Project Zero, Systemiq’s internal programme focused on sustainability, governance and impact across our operations.

Through Project Zero, we are working to turn commitments into practical action. Systemiq remains committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2040, aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative targets we set in 2023.

Responsible business depends on everyday decisions. Over recent years, Systemiq has introduced changes to help teams make more sustainable choices in how they work. These include updated travel and procurement policies, guidance on lower-carbon business decisions and encouragement to choose train travel over flying where feasible. We are also supporting more sustainable food choices in business settings.

In 2024, we introduced a Net Zero Procurement Policy to help align decisions on suppliers, offices and professional services with our climate goals.

Systemiq also contributes to wider initiatives working to advance responsible business and systems change, including the UN Global Compact, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers.
