Alex joined SYSTEMIQ with a strong academic background after graduating from a double M.Sc. in chemistry and chemical engineering from The University of British Columbia (UBC, Canada) and CPE Lyon (France). Among others, Alex worked on rubber synthesis for a major German manufacturer (Lanxess) and published several academic papers on the synthesis of biodegradable bio-based plastics during its time at UBC. Alex pursued its studies with an M.Sc in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris where he learnt to leverage its chemical knowledge to serve the circular economy. Alex believe that the chemical industry has a major role to play to drive the innovative and sustainable business models of the future.
