ELINOR NEWMAN-BECKETT

Elinor has a background in social and political science and holds a post graduate certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge. She spent a few years working in the not-for-profit sector and a sustainability market research start-up before joining Unilever. Working for global food and ice cream brands, she led projects tackling smallholder farmer livelihoods, sustainable agriculture, sustainable diets and plastic waste.

Since joining SYSTEMIQ, Elinor has worked on sustainable supply chain strategies to grow farmer prosperity and reduce deforestation. She currently works for the Food and Land Use Coalition leading stakeholder engagement. She believes human behavior change is a critical lever in most sustainability challenges, and enjoys reading more about behavioral science, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and anthropology in her spare time.

Outside of work, Elinor gets her hands dirty at her local community gardens, and practices yoga and meditation.
