George polk

George sold his last business to work on climate change after reading James Lovelock’s book The Revenge of Gia.   Since then, he has started a range of initiatives accelerating the transition to a prosperous, low carbon economy.

On the investment side, George is the Managing Partner of Tulum Trust, on the investment committee of Low Carbon and the advisory board of the Mercer Sustainable Opportunities Fund, and Chairman of Crowley Carbon.    On the non profit side, George was the founding Chairman of the European Climate Foundation, and is a trustee of the Rocky Mountain Institute.

For most of his career, George was a technology entrepreneur, recognized as Global Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and ranked several times in the top 25 global technology agenda setters by Silicon.com.
