Jason is a high-energy combo of communications pro and recycling expert. Keen to make the most impact possible in the field he loves, he joined SYSTEMIQ to tackle ocean plastics at scale through targeted on-the-ground work in Indonesia.

An avid outdoorsman, Jason has endeavored to thrive and leave his mark in the spots he most likes to visit. From the beaches of the eastern U.S. he transformed recycling systems locally and nationally, while surfing the small beach breaks and exploring the nearby backcountry. From the wilds of Alaska and northern Canada, he worked with far-flung native tribes to protect subsistence fisheries, while advising Anchorage on solid waste strategy. There he climbed mountains, rafted rivers, and traversed grandiose landscapes.

Now he calls Bali home, where he partners with communities and companies to drive lasting change through better recycling systems. The surf is world-class, the yoga centering, and the people so very kind.

Previous experience includes leadership at U.S. national change agent The Recycling Partnership and sustainability consultancy Resource Recycling Systems, along with operation of several local recycling programs. His favorite color is purple
