Ronja started out in social sciences, studying international business studies and intercultural communication. Fascinated by the power of languages, she speaks 5 and is currently trying to learn a sixth. Driven by a deep curiosity in biological systems and interest in environmental challenges, Ronja then turned to natural sciences: She studied sustainable resource management, the global water and carbon cycle, soil science and waste management.

Combining her experience in scientific research and project management in developing countries, Ronja joined SYSTEMIQ to face the challenge of turning academic knowledge into business opportunities that protect the environment and benefit people.

In SYSTEMIQ Ronja has worked on projects related to marine debris and waste management in South East Asia and is now working on peatland restoration and protection in Indonesia. Her free time Ronja likes to spend outdoors and mostly in the mountains, going rock climbing, cross country skiing and ski hiking.
