Taraneh Azad and Guido Schmidt-Traub have completed their three-year term as Managing Partners and during this time have enabled Systemiq to scale impact, build stronger external partnerships and nurture a community of system change leaders across the firm.

Both will continue their valuable role as Partners at Systemiq and will now focus on driving impact externally, with Taraneh continuing her work with holistiQ and overseeing Systemiq’s equity portfolio, and Guido focusing on nature finance, country transitions, leading the French office, and new impact programs.

Jeremy will be supported by a Leadership Council, comprising the leaders of the Energy, Nature, Materials and Sustainable Finance platforms, the head of System Change, the head of the Latin American office, together with the Chief People and Finance Officers.

Jeremy is the co-founder of Systemiq and previously worked as Senior Partner at McKinsey, at the World Bank as a Senior Economist and at the New Climate Economy Project as its first Global Director.

The company’s strategy remains unchanged, driving progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement through system change. This will be achieved through transforming markets, asset classes, value chains and policy settings in four key economic systems: nature and food, materials and circularity, energy, and sustainable finance.

I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Partner of Systemiq, the firm I co-founded in 2016 alongside Martin Stuchtey. I wish to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues Taraneh Azad and Guido Schmidt-Traub for their outstanding leadership over the past three years and their commitment to Systemiq’s mission.

I am excited about the future direction of Systemiq and look forward to working with our new Leadership Council and with all our ambitious partners across public, private and civil society sectors to make system change more than a buzzword – but rather as the opportunity to unleash human potential, entrepreneurship and innovation in collectively tackling our biggest challenges
